It's true, I never pictured myself working in sales either, but when Beautycounter came into my life a few years ago, I started to consider it as an option.

I love Beautycounter's mission - to get safer products into the hands of everyone, their advocacy work - fighting for stricter laws around what ingredients can be used in personal care products, and their skincare + makeup that's made with safer ingredients. I saw successful women who I respected join Beautycounter and create the kind of freedom in their life that I had been searching for.

I have so much respect this company that I finally started to consider direct sales a real possibility. After all, I already share with others the names of products I use and love, and that's exactly what I would be doing as a Beautycounter consultant.

Plus, I started to learn more about what sales truly is. It's not about being pushy or forcing people to try your products. It's about adding value to others lives. 

Everyone is already using skincare and makeup, so my job is simply to help educate others about safer ingredients and help them swap out what they're already using, for safer options. My clients love the products, feel good knowing that what they're using is safe, and when they start to see positive changes in their skin, then I feel good about making a difference in their life!

It took me over a year to finally make the leap to join the company as a consultant, and truly my only 'regret' is that I didn't start sooner!
